In July 1974, at the age of 16, I acquired my 1969 Z/28. By the time I turned 18 and got married, it became our sole vehicle for many years. I drove it with the vigor of a getaway driver for a decade. In the ’80s, I transformed it into a bespoke showpiece. Displaying it at prestigious indoor car exhibitions across the nation, it became a star attraction, consistently clinching the title of Best Custom and earning the People’s Choice award at numerous events. The customization was a collaborative effort between myself, my father, and a group of supportive friends. After its retirement in ’89, it resided in my garage until its recent resurrection at Motorheads. Those interested in witnessing its glory firsthand need only to look it up; it’s an absolute must-see.
